'liquorice' is a tumultuous deep dive into the complex interpersonal emotions they have with men.

In a continued exploration into electronic music - first ventured into with the recent single ‘flag’ - The EP’s three tracks exhibit ponderous beats layered with dense and dynamic aural textures, finessed by Ramsay’s ethereal vocals.

“These tracks are a forward representation of feeling sick and tired of toxic people and more specifically men,” say Ramsay. “Being a people pleaser, regardless of how or why a relationship ends, I still think if I had done something different maybe a conflict or trauma wouldn’t have happened. I think this a very relatable feeling to those who are fem-presenting or women and it’s not until we hear other people’s stories and trauma, that we recognise the weight of our own."

The catalyst that sparked liquorice was a tipping point in their utter disbelief of how women and AFAB people are continuously being dismissed and minimised.

Tracks:

  1. patience [2:39]
  2. he hurts you [7:52]
  3. you're on your own [4:08]
